This stunning five bedroom home would be worth more than £1m in the south – guess what you’d pay in Lincolnshire?
The property has it’s own swimming pool and is surrounded by woodland
A stunning Lincolnshire property that would be worth more than a million if it was in the south of England is on the market for almost half that amount.
The five bedroom house in Southrey, near Bardney, is surrounded by woodland which makes it a nature lover’s paradise and it even has an outdoor swimming pool.
It’s being marketed by estate agent JH Walter and agent Ben Kendle said the asking price of £615,000 highlights the difference in property prices across the country.
He said: “It’s typical Lincolnshire and is very rural.
“It’s one of those properties where if it was down south it would be worth a lot more money – if it was Kent or London it would be way over £1m.
“It’s surrounded by woodland and open fields so it is a haven for wildlife.”
The luxury home could prove a draw for buyers who are looking to relocate from the south of England – and get a bit more bang for their buck.
The average price of a home in the Cotswolds for example is a staggering £498,020 – compared to just £228,308 in Lincolnshire.
The house includes eight bedrooms on the ground floor including a kitchen and breakfast room, dining room, living room, study, garden room, bedroom, shower room and toilet.
Upstairs there is three bedrooms, a bathroom and another bedroom with a shower room.
The outside of the property, which is completely private, also includes a pond, planted beds and borders and “stunning un-interrupted views over the adjoining countryside.”
The property is 12 miles away from Lincoln which offers a variety of schools and restaurants.
